An Update, an Article, and a Teaser

I have so much fun stuff to share with you all, and very little time to create this post. I've been crazy busy lately with book signings and family summer events; in fact, I'm leaving in less than an hour for a family vacation, and the day after I get home I'll be flying to California for the RWA national conference.

But there is still plenty of time for me to dream of Blackmoore, which is what I've been doing a lot of lately. In fact, I had the genuine pleasure of daydreaming for an hour this morning about Kate and Henry, and eeeek! Their story is SO romantic I can hardly stand it. I get a dreamy smile on my face whenever I think about it, and I can't wait to get it all down on paper. In fact, I am signing the contract for Blackmoore this week, and so you can all expect it sometime next summer. :)

Next--if you haven't seen this article in the Huffington Post, please go read it now! And, yes, it mentions movie rights for Edenbrooke. But I do not have any news to share right now on that front. Seriously. I know nothing. But when I do know something, you will be the first to hear about it.

And last but not least, I can finally reveal a teaser for the epic Edenbrooke project this summer. Watch the trailer and tell me what you think. (The trailer was created by the lovely and talented Pam van Hylckama Vlieg and her husband Marco. Thanks, Pam and Marco!)

Now, you will notice paper dolls in the trailer. If you go to my Facebook page and enter the giveaway contest there, you will be entered to win NOT a copy of Edenbrooke, but a very limited pack of Edenbrooke paper dolls, which will not be for sale, according to my publisher, at any store. And while you're there, go ahead and like my page so that you can get all the fabulous Edenbrooke love over there too.

Have I told you lately how much fun this all is? Because it is. And you guys make it more fun than I could have imagined. Thank you!

  4. Someone super mega way too attractive for their own good needs to play Philip :) And they must be perfectly talented. I wish you had a time machine so you could steal Colin Firth when he was like twenty...

    1. Definitely not. Besides he isn't even British...more like Jeremy Irvine?? Ehh maybe not. I just know he has got to be perfect. And for Marianne Claire Foy all the way. But she should dye her hair blonde or something...

  6. Will you be doing any more give aways? I saw you would take book recommendations and give the winner a copy...it would be FANTASTIC if you did something like that again ;D

  7. Just finished my new favorite book in 6 hours! WOW- Soooo glad I didn't wait to hear it on audio book on my long family trip! This was completely refreshing and I want to fall in love all over again!! So our leading man must be manly! I like Jake G and LOVE James M for Philip!!! I totally see Armie Hammer as portraying a beautiful, witty, and often intense Sir Philip as well. Imogen Poots is a natural beauty and a good choice. I even see Rachel McAdams as Marianne. She can really switch moods on spot!! Good actors can give a believable English accent! Anywho- I am so happy to weigh in! I am really looking forward to reading more!

  11. Very exciting news. JJ Feild as Phillip would be great. At least, he's who I picture when I read the book.

  12. Thank you for writing such a lovely story. I bought the CD's (because the waiting list at the library is so dang long!) a couple weeks ago and I finished them in 2 days...and now I'm listening to them again during my commute. I can't get enough!

  13. I just wanted to thank you for writing Edenbrooke and tell you how much I enjoyed it. I had a terrible week last week - terrible! Then on Saturday I had a notice from the library that my hold on this book was in. I started reading it and could not put it down. It was the perfect book for me to read to take my mind off of my trials. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to read more books from you! Keep them coming!
